At my university, it takes 124-126 credits to graduate with your bachelor's degree so that is about 15 hours per semester +4 more (which I'm taking 17 hours this semester to make up for it). 40 of which must be 300+ level (at least at my university). In graduate school, it should be no more than 2 years. So from freshman to masters, about 6 years.

you CAN get a BBA done in 3 years, but why rush? Many MBA programs are 36 credits and they CAN be done in as little as a year.......not advisable though as you sacrifice your life (no time for work, fun etc)

industrial engineers are in great demand in gulf countries as well as in indian manufacturing firms as well as academics to conduct work measurement and operation research to make things faster and to increase productivity of the organisation,. You can opt for M tech in IEM from JNTU Hyderabad.

A master in industrial engineering will make you an industrial engineer with a higher level of competency in the field. People pursuing a academical careers will aim to a get a master in IE. However, IE departments usually offers a Master degree in Engineering management. This type of degree is aimed to people pursuing career in highly techinical managerial positions. For example, an Operation manager of a phamaceutical plant, a Cheif engineer position an automovile supplier plant. Any business that depends a lot on the engineering effort will most likely seek someone with an engineering management background. Military contractors such as Raytheon, Honeywell...etc. are example of employers with a high degree of engineering need.

What other Masters Degree options do I have w/a Business Management bachelors degree?
I will be graduating in May w/a degree in Business Management w/concentration in Finance and minor in Human Resources and Accounting. I want to get my master's but it seems that an MBA is an option for only current professionals. Do I have any other options? I see that others with bachelors other than Business get an MBA.

WOW !! you have alot of options ! Since you have minor in HR, ACC you could do Msc in Human Resources or MSc in Accounting ( Yet for the accounting, it depends on the university requirements) Also your degree can do : - Msc in Business Management - Msc in Business Studies - International Business Management ( some universities) - Msc in Business Entrepreneurship Management ( 100% all uni) ( it's how to start your own business) - Msc Risk Management ( 100 % sure) - Msc operation Management ( some universities) - Msc Project management ( 100% sure) and the list goes on and on .. that's all I can remember right now. About MBA, don't you know that MBA has concentrations, ask universities, you can have any stream in : MBA in Finance 100% MBA in Accounting 100% MBA in HE 100% MBA in Leadership 100% MBA in 100% in all concentrations Also there is: IMBA = (I) is international so international MBA you have alot of choices, and if you want to work in a company you could take MBA in any concentration. If you want to make your own business take Msc in Entrepreneurship Management. It's all up to you ! Check the university requirements, I know you will have more than this list I gave you

Masters degree (Management information systems) with database concentration

Masters degree (Management information systems) with database concentration?
Hi, I have a bachelors degree in business degree but want to get Ms degree in MIS with database concentration. I am an international student and am looking for school in New York or New Jersey area. The cost should not be higher then $6000 per semester for 12 credits at the college that will be of interest. Other important factor to consider is accreditation of the college. Also, are international students allowed to enroll in online classes ? I know one college in NY,TOURO COLLEGE, that has pretty good MIS degree, but I dont think this college degree would even get me an interview after graduation. I know some colleges entirely offer degrees through online classes.Hope to hear from you guys. PS.I know most colleges have outdated, old curriculum for computer science or Mis degrees. Thanks

Well, what you pay is what you get (+ or -).. So don't expect a lot when you've limited budget and quite sctrict spec. MIS of for that matter any graduate course, doesnt focus on one subject matter but a 'general' study. if you want database concentration the best would be to go for industry certification (e.g. Oracle DBA etc)

If I understand you correctly, you need to maintain your F-1 status as well as getting a Masters. You won't get F-1 status for on line study obviously so I wonder if I have this wrong. Cheap schools in the NY/NJ area that have reasonable Masters programmes in this area are NYIT, Rutgers and CUNY. City College has just launched a new MIS course (registration open till the end of May) with a good database component but unfortunately the classes are in the evenings so it is not F-1 eligible. You might want to see if there is a work around as it is in your price range.
